Top-swing
A top-swing window is an outward-opening window. In principle, the function is the same as for a top-guided window, but the sash can be rotated180º round a horizontal axis outside the window frame.
The movement of the sash allows the window to be turned and cleaned on both sides from inside the house. The fittings are child-proofed to limit the opening of the sash, while cleaning protection is automatically activated when the sash is rotated to cleaning protection position (approx. 170º).
The closing mechanism for this window type is a handle-operated multipoint latch, with ventilation position in the keepers and sliding rails with friction.
